Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Daniel Ligon

Pastor Daniel Ligon was raised in a Christian home and spent eleven years in Nigeria, West Africa as a missionary kid. He was saved at a young age and began training for gospel ministry as a young man.

While attending college in Oklahoma City, Pastor Daniel met his wife, Molly, who is from Stillwater, OK.

Molly was raised in church, but personally became a believer in Christ at the age of 19.

They were married in 2011.

After spending eight years on church staff in Missouri, the Ligons joined Oro Valley Baptist Church in June 2020.

The Ligons have been blessed with three daughters, Claire, Katie, and Sky, and a son, Leonidas. As a family, they enjoy reading, music, camping, and hiking.

Pastor Daniel has also received a Master of Arts in Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary.

Josh Higdon

Josh grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in the home of a pastor and trusted Christ as his Savior at the age of 15. Kelly was born in North Carolina and raised in a Christian home. After her family moved frequently while her father served in the U.S. Navy, they eventually settled in the Midwest. Kelly accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of 18 while attending a Christian camp.

Josh and Kelly met while attending Bible college in Oklahoma City and were married in 2007. The Lord has blessed them with six wonderful children: Annie, Kaylie, Elliot, Nora, Madelyn, and Juliette.

In July 2026, the Higdon family moved to the Oro Valley area to serve alongside the leadership of Oro Valley Baptist Church. They are grateful for the opportunity to minister to the church family and the surrounding community.
