On April 11, 2010, North Valley Baptist Church held its first service in a rented facility at Painted Sky Elementary.

In November 2010, God allowed us to purchase our own building, a retired fire station which was remodeled and opened for services in April 2011.

In the beginning, only the north half of the building was remodeled, but it soon became necessary to expand, and renovations began on the main bay area of the facility. The work was completed in the summer of 2013, and on July 21, 2013 a grand opening and dedication service was held.

Founding pastor Alfred King began the church and pastored it for over 10 years until God moved his family.

In June 2020, Daniel Ligon was voted in as the new pastor of North Valley Baptist Church.

Since that time, God has added to the church and allowed us to pay off and update our current facility. In March 2024, we voted to change our name to Oro Valley Baptist Church, in order to better identify and connect with our community.

Together, we are looking forward to what God has in store for the future of our church!
